Where is a good place to buy a dress for my 8th grade dance?

I need something affordable (because I'm probably only going to wear it once) yet I still have to look cute! haha Thanks!

P.S It is a formal dance
 
stereotypical to shop here, but I really like Macy's. But the trick to shopping there is going for the clearance rack. This almost ensures that nobody else will have your same dress. People also say that clearance dresses are cheap but just think, three months earlier they were the most expensive dresses. Hope this helps and have fun :)
