where is a good place to buy a ac compressor for my car.?

my ac compressor for my dodge neon went out
and i need to replace it.but all the one i seen are $350 to $450 and thats just for the unit.if i can have some help with the search.i need one that will last more then 2 years thanks.
 
If the car is almost 10 years old, you'd be very wise in my opinion not to replace the compressor and just drive the car with the windows open for good ventilation. Older car A/C compressors are not worth replacing when it's all said and done.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news here but $350 to $450 is about as cheap as your going to find for a new compressor even for a rebuilt one.The one I put on my car was around $600 so your getting it cheap.As far as where to get one goes you can get one pretty much any parts store and they will more than 2 years if it is done right
