Is anyone other than me sick of the same rotation of songs usually heard on Classic Rock radio?
I'd love to be able to find real statistics on the same regular rotation of Steve Miller Band, the Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac! I'd want to be able to go into detail regarding the machinery that we don't see...licensing requirements, demands for minimum play that might be made by the owners of the license, pre-programed playlists that come from a centralized office like Clear Channel's, That kind of thing.
I'm sorry to say that I used to love this music but after the 100,000th time the Rumours album doesn't mean anything to me anymore. There's just sooooo much more good music out there than the same 250 songs over and over again!
I'm very skeptical that there's really demand for this.
(Could be worse, I know we could have more NewsTalk stations)
