Where have these words come from "discusting" and "gorgus"?

Why are native English speakers spelling the word "disgusting" with a "c" instead of a "g"? Why are they also spelling "gorgeous" in a completely incorrect way? Is the internet causing a pandemic of ignorance?
 
Argh it is so annoying! Where does the 'c' come from in 'discusting' it doesn't even sound like a 'c'.
And I hate it when people spell gorgeous as 'gawjus'.
That is really cringe.
 
Unfortunately they are used by illiterates who do not know any better.
