Where exactly do the spark plug wires go on a 97 Mazda Protege?

There are 4 spark plug wires they have an order they go in but when I took them all off I forgot where each wire went. I have then side tat goes on the spark plugs on but I dont know what order the other side goes in.

you are looking for the firing order on the ignition

i dont remember the exact order but 323 is not the same

If I remember right. Most 4 cyls. are 1,3,4,2. I could be wrong. Most of the time I am. If you don't want to cough up the money for a manual. Check the local library they usually have them.
Next time mark the wires before you go yanking them off.

stop by your local auto parts dealers and pick up a haynes manual for your car. There will be diagrams and lots of help. Also a great reference for as long as you own your car. Get one, you'll be happier and wiser for it, and they are only about 15 bucks.
