Where Does Your Cough Come From

For those that have a chronic cough with their GERD or LPR, where do you feel the cough is coming from? As with mine, I have that feeling of one side being stopped up. Right sinus feels like drainage down the back of my throat. I'm sniffling all the time trying to cough out something. I do cough when short of breath, right after eating or drinking (anything) also and of course when in a panic or stressed. Like now while it's 4 in the morn and I can't sleep!

Do you mean what causes it? I think mine is caused by PND, mostly because it doesn't seem like I'm trying to clear lung, but more throat feelings.

Mine feels like it is coming right from the middle of my chest, the back of my throat and from my nose. Sometimes it feels like it is suffocating me because its thick and clogging - it scares me and I hate it :(
 
hi i dont have a chronic cough, but get a little cough for a few seconRAB after i eat food...........it feels like its come from my lungs sometimes like acid has gone in there, but mostly its from the irratation of food i think on my throat causing a cough, or from my PND, oh not sure really lol, sorry you have got a bad cough from this nightmare deasease thou..........currently im hating the ear symptoms which are bizaree like is acid in my ears?
