Spam is a canned precooked meat product made by the Hormel Foods Corporation. The labeled ingredients in the Classic variety of Spam are: chopped pork shoulder meat with ham meat added, salt, water, sugar, and sodium nitrite to help keep its colour.

Yuck!! It is reformed pieces of pork I think. The worst bits of the pig though - don't eat it!!!

All the bits of meat that is left over from everything else on sale in meat shops. All squished together, flattened, rolled and stuffed in a can.

I love the stuff, reminds me of my childhood when we had it as a 'special' meal. Sliced, dipped in batter and deep fried! Dripping with grease...... it's no wonder I have a weight problem now!
