How much longer will our civiliztion exist, since nothing can last forever?
 
We use mechanical contrivances that they didn't have, but that is not necessarily a mark of superiority on our part.

When Egypt built the Aswan Dam, they had to move the temple of Abu Simbel to keep this archaelogical treasure from being submerged. All the best of our modern construction equipment from all over the world was brought in, but we STILL had to cut up the statues and stone blocks to move them!

The Ancient Mayans' knowledge of astronomy was better and more precise than ours is today.

So perhaps even thpough we are more mechanical today than they were, they must have had some pretty heavy technical knowledge that we don't.

Will our civilization fall? Eventually! Will it be in our lifetime? Who knows?
