In Genesis 1 there is a broad outline of the events of the creation week, which reaches its climax with the origin of mankind in the very image of God. In Genesis 2 there is the special emphasis upon man, the divine preparation of his home, the formation of a suitable mate, etc. Chapter one is the wide angle lense so to speak and chapter two is the telephoto/close up view.
 
Some people think that Gen. chapter one is an account of creation and Gen. Chapter two is a different account of creation. However this is incorrect.

Genesis chapter one give us a very broad view of God's creation...taking a look at the six days of creation.

Genesis chapter two zeros in on the creation of man, and then Genesis chapter three focuses on the fall of man.

There is no place in the Bible that speaks of two different Gardens.
