Where do I begin taking legal action against Chrysler since my airbags didn't

deploy during my wreck? My sister and I were coming home and we were going 40 mph, which is the speed limit on that road and she lost control around a curve which caused us to spin out of control and hit an electric pole at 40 mph. We were driving a 2006 PT Chrysler PT cruiser and our airbags did not deploy and my (passenger) seat belt did not lock, which caused me back injury. We had to be taken in ambulance to emergency room and it was a no fault accident. I don't know where to begin or what I should do. Any advice would help me a lot and if you need any additional information then feel free to ask.

Quit giving me stupid answers. And no cowboy, I actually have very insurance and my car is getting repaired. I don't need someone else to pay for my "blunder," you stupid redneck. I am asking for real advice not ignorant remarks from people that have no life and sit at their computer all day writing ignorant answers. I am sitting here with injuries mainly due to my seatbelt not locking and throwing me into the dash. Now, before anyone post another stupid answer, read the entire description before spouting off a rude remark.
Thank you Fred, for your helpful answer. The car hit directly in the front and smashing the front in horrendously breaking the electric pole at high speed.
 
Save yourself a ton of agony and just drop this nonsense. No where does it say in any manual or contract of ANY make of automobile that the airbag will deploy in a collision and if it does you will not suffer injuries. This has been tried a thousand times and failed -- every single time. SRS (air bag systems) are SUPPLEMENTAL restraints and must meet several parameters encoded into it's computer before deployment. These include speed, force of negative acceleration, angle, yaw, etc, etc. If you start this with Chrysler they will have a dozen engineers and two dozen lawyers testify (after analyzing the SRS modules and systems). You crashed the car and now you want someone else to pay for your blunder. You're alive and not blind, paralyzed or dead --- why can't that be enough?

Airbags deploy for specific accidents. If you were spinning when the car hit the pole, the airbag sensors would not deploy the airbags because airbags can cause more injury in certain accident conditions. They are carefully designed to only inflate in the accidents which meet the parameters defining their usefulness.
People seem to think airbags are always supposed to deploy in an accident. They aren't.
You have no grounds for a suit over airbags.
As far as the seat belt goes, the insurance company has the resources to investigate whether it locked or not, and, if not, why not, assuming it was worn properly.
