where do electronics in a vehicle get their power?

You know, I've always wondered. Obviously they get their power from the battery and the battery is charged by the alternator but everything's not just connected straight up to the battery. I guess what I'm really asking is "How is power from the battery distributed to all of the electronics in a car?" Where does power from the battery go to be distributed to everything like the lights, radio, wiper motor, A/C, heater, etc? Thanks and cheers. :)

well . . there are certain electronics that are hardwired to be on all the time . . and the rest are activated when you turn on the ignition . . .that is the supply switch that allows power to go to all components
