where do bold spots come from?

so i got a bold spot and i do not know where it came from. im only 22 so i dont think i should be going bold. no one in my fam including grand parents are bold at all!! i used to have long hair when i was younger and i had nice healthy hair. i now cut my hair i wanna say at a 2mm. the bold spot is located behind my left ear.
