Where did the laws of physics, etc, come from?

well, they're just THERE.
in our universe, it just so happens that everything interacts as it does and there are laws (like relativity) governing it.
very clever people discovered these laws.
it is possible, if you believe the 'many worlds' theory, that in another universe, the fundamental laws are different. maybe light travels at a different speed, or gravity is a different strength or everything is antimatter instead of normal matter.

I don't know. Most of physics can be traced back to very basic concepts. Energy is conserved because 1=1. 1 is not equal to 2.

Why does 1=1? Is there even any meaning in asking such a question?

Does the belief system you're propping up with this explain anything any better? How? Why did God make it all this way and where did he come from?
