Where Could We "Wild Camp" In The UK?

A group of six of us would like to wild camp for a few nights in a remote forest, preferably near Wellingborough, Northampton, Rushden, ect. However we wouldn't mind travelling a few hours to get somewhere.
Does anyone know of any forests where we could do this?

Are we to believe that in your world the UK extends only as far as Wellingborough , Northampton , Rushden etc ??

What about Scarborough ? or Whitehaven ? or Blackpool ? or Aberdeen ? or Thurso ? or Taunton ?
or anywhere from Lands End to Dover to John o' Groats ............... take your pick.
