not one steeped in biblical mumbo jumbo.
i actually want some sort of run down on their actual history PRIOR to 300 bc. I understand it cannot be comprehensive. its just that i realized i have a predominantly biblical view of their history which isn't really fair at all.
'Josephus' isn't old enough. he was born 37 ad. I want something much older. something covering their history. Even if it can include if they done any mining etc. Whether they really did kill all those people mentioned in the bible. i understand that the Old testament has to be used somewhat. I just want to cut through the BS

Around 700 B.C. Assyria took the Kingdom is Israel captive and they were never heard from again.

The Kingdom of Judah, which was made up of the tribes of Judah and Benjamin and included the Levites are known today as the Jews.

The kingdom of Israel consisted of the other 10 tribes and there is no recorded history of them after their captivity by Assyria.

Though they are "lost" to man, God knows exactly who and where they are.
