My friend and her boyfriend have the same last name, she has the last name given by her father who she met a few times but he since walked out of her life. Her boyfriend still lives with biological parents of which his dad has the same last name. His parents do not believe they are in any way related (distant cousins, etc), they are definetely not from the same father but they want to make sure they are not related at all. We looked up websites for genetic testing but most are for paternity testing, which is not really what they are looking father. They know they have different dads. Please give the best advice, they want to get tested before their relationship gets serious.
