I'm trying to learn robotics, but I have some difficulty finding resources that are easily digestible.
I have knowledge of how servos work, and have done a simple electronics project involving a Parallax Basic Stamp and 4 servos. I'm interested in moving up to something more complex, like a hexapod (those 6 legged robots, see them on youtube) and getting an input from a transmitter (maybe an RC transmitter).
I know I need one of those multi PWM chips, but other than that where do I start? What microcontroller should I learn? Are there any good tutorials out there that teach these in a practical manner? I like to learn by following an example
Thanks for any help
Also, is there any chip that reads PWM signals and outputs them in serial? ie, white wires from a RC receiver go into the pins of the chip, and one pin of the chip outputs to a microcontroller?
