Where can I learn the absolute basics on investing?

I have looked around several websites but am still somewhat confused. I try to research stocks but get flustered because I don't know what P/E and things like that mean. I want to know things like what to look for in a stock, how to read candlestick graphs, etc. Thank you

The library. They have many books on basic investing and how the stock market works. Without that basic background, you will never understand how to analyze stocks.
