I'm looking for a place in the United States where I can camp on an a beach. I'm talking about the ocean, not a lake or river beach. We're planning our road trip in September, so I'd like to find a place where the temperature will be hot in early fall. Probably the southern half of the US. I'm in Wisconsin, so I can get anywhere in the US in about twenty four hours. Any suggestions?

Fort Desoto Park has some really nice camping spots that are pretty private (yes its a beach) and theres a Park down in St Augustine that is also right on the beach, cant think of the name right now sorry. Both of those places are in Florida- Ft. Desoto being on the Gulf (it was also ranked the 4th nicest beach in the US back in 2000 i believe) and St. Augustine being on the east coast. Down in the keys theres John Pennekamp State Park in Key Largo, Florida. Their campgrounds are ok but the majority of the park is underwater and contains reefs, its the first underwater state park. I`m sure there are plenty of places to camp in the keys.
