Where can i get a used 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan D2 1500 Classic motor, or get mine rebuilt?

I have a super clean 1997 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Classic, two tone(white & grey), lots of chrome with a ol' skool look. But my motor took a nose dive this season, but before I scrap this project I would love to purchase a new or used motor, or retain info on where i can get this motor rebuilt. I live in Chicago, IL but would have motor crated and shipped for rebuilding, if possible. Somebody help me get rolling for next season please!!!!!!!!!
 
I would also search for a users group online for this. For example, the suzuki intruder has intruderalert.com....

I imagine someone has a donor bike for you out there.
