I'm looking to buy a coil for my bike fork. It is to soft. I have a 180mm Manitou Travis. Can someone please help direct me to a place where I can buy a coil? And I wouldn't mind some advice on acctually doing the job of changing the coil. THANK YOU!!

keeping in mind the spring in nearly all forks is under a great deal of pressure and there is also oil inside that can and will go everywhere not to mention that if you are not carefull that spring will shoot out of the fork stanchion and could injure you if you aren't qualified to do this sort of maintenance. Some shops will do it for you for a minimum price and can and will order the correct size spring which is essential since you need both stanchions done at the same time. It may also be worth looking into a new fork to save time and money too. this older Travis fork may not be worth the effort and $ expended?!

I have manitou's also, I wouldn't recommend changing the coil, I did this on my bike and it's now very awkward because the coil wasn't designed for the fork, but if you still want to do this commpletely unscrew the left top cap and use an alan key to undo the right top cap, now push down on the handlebars and rmove the coils lubricate the new ones and place them in your forks put the Caps back on an pull your handlebars all the way up and screw the caps back on. As for the parts your local bike shop should have some in the back.
