where can i get a 440 engine for a 1973 dodge charger ?

I am sure everyone will have their own answer here

this thing to remember is that most any 440 you get will be 30 years old and likely need a rebuild - this will be expensive

I would think about a crate engine personally
 
There is a place in Lancaster, ca. called 440 Source. Won't be cheap though

Check the junk yards for old motorhomes. or Craigslist is really good for them. Most have low miles and still run, but folks cant sell them for anything! PLUS, the motorhomes had a 727 trans with heavy duty internals. Just the thing for a Mopar. Good luck
