where can i find the transmission on a 97 ford Conture please help fast(i know by the engine but where)

It doesn't have one per-se, it uses a trans-axle down low in the front...

I'm guessing that it is probably a front wheel drive car and that's why you can't find it. In this case it will be underneath the driver's side of your car on the other side of the wheel. If it's a rear wheel drive it's in the center of your car directly behind the motor.

It is the nice chunk of metal mounted to the rear of the engine....the opposite end of the belts
