I had someone TRY to steal my Caravan last year, but failed..Insurance would only pay for USED parts, so dealership in their wisdom decided that instead of just replacing the ignition cylinder, they would replace the entire steering column. The van has NEVER been the same since. I replaced the steering column myself just today Jan 31/09 because my LEFT turn signal wouldn't work all the time and could get it to work periodically by turning the 4-ways on and off quickly while approaching an intersection. This turned out to be false hope, as after replacing everything with WORKING steering column from my other Caravan after the van cooled off (minus 27 degrees this afternoon) I went out for a drive and the first thing I did was test the signals.......no left turn signal!!!!!! Can anyone tell me where I can find the PIN CONFIGURATION for the signal switch so that I can bypass it with a toggle switch to help me find the root of the problem. COLD HAS A MAJOR FACTOR as when the column transfer took place, it was in a heated garage and worked fine when installed and works fine after the van been running for awhile and is warmed up. Any useful suggestions will be greatly appreciated and considered.
