where can i find photos from a lost cdrw on my hard drive?

my friend gave me a cdr with a lot of photos on it that he copied off the internet.I viewed them on my computer.Now the cdr disk is lost.Are the photos still on my hard drive and if so where?
 
If you only viewed the photos, they're not there unless you actually saved them.
