looking to upgrade my bike as long as this doesnt prove expensive. i do a lot of long downhill stretches and the bike cant keep up with how fast i could be going. i did a little research and i believe im saying this right: i want a low cadence, while attaining top speed. i believe i need a larger gear on the pedal section of the drivetrain. is it at all possible to add another bigger cog onto my current setup or will i need to purchase a whole new set of gears. or is this even possible/worth doing? I have the ability to do the work myself and am open to any ideas
afterthought: is it possible to upgrade from my 26" wheels to bigger 28" wheels for the same benifits?
I do not have a mountain bike. I have a bianchi super grizzly. it looks old, but rides true and clean.
I am interested in the idea of getting a new ring for the front, as suggested, what does this mean and involve?
