I am trying to write a book. I have the knowledge and a great plot. I have been a writer for many years but a technical one which is totally different to writing a novel. Thus I need help

i say if you got the hookups to some professors in college, go ask them for advice.
or maybe pick out some of your favorite authors, journalists, or anyone whose writing you admire [the alive ones, hehe], and contact them, ask them for advice.
for example, if michelle jaffe was my favorite author, i would probably contact her (some info on her web or online) and ask her some advice, and hope to god that she's nice enough to answer to me.

I'm not sure how much collaboration you're looking for, but you might try a couple of places. The first is absolutewrite.com. That's the primary writer's site on the web. It's huge, it's free, and you might find someone there to help.

This one may seem odd, but you might try Twitter. There are a lot of writers and authors on Twitter (I'm there as "nickolaswriter"), and I know that some people - ghostwriters, freelancers, and the like - may be looking for work.

Getting a writer is going depend on how much collaboration you want to do, and how each of you are going to be paid. I wish you luck.
