Where can i find a used car that is cheap and will last?

I am 16 and just started driving a little over 2 months ago. My car now is a black '96 Mercedes C280. When my parents go it, they just wanted a relatively good car that would last through the summer. The Mercedes needs a new transmission so we figured it only had 4-6 months left in it. It ends up being more like 2 1/2. In about a week I will have no car. I really need to find a used car that I can buy cheaply. I only have about $700. Where can I find a cheap used car that will last and isn't beat up?

check out craigslist.org

you can narrow your search by state... prices... and even kinda of car you want.

not every car may be worth what they are asking so i would ask the poster lots of questions and make sure there are pictures.

$700 isnt alot so you wont find the best looking cars but there will be some.

ps. im in the exact same boat! haha
