Where can I find a military/marine penpal?

I've been looking for a website that would help me send letters to someone in the military/marines because I would like to find a way to thank them for all they have done. I'm finding it difficult to find a good sit, for some need paid member ships and such. Others are just dating sites, which I am not looking for.
