Where can I find a cute plaid shirt for a western-themed dance?

I am looking for a cute plaid shirt to wear with a jean skirt for a western-themed dance this weekend. I can't order it online because the dance is Saturday, so it has to be in a store. We have a pretty small mall- some stores to rule out are Abercrombie and Fitch, Hollister, Forever 21, Wetseal, Bilabong, and Delia's because we don't have any of those. We do have American Eagle, Aeropostale, PacSun, Dillard's, JCPenney's (our only two department stores), and a few other stores. I am not opposed to shopping at places like Target. The thing is, I don't know how often I will ever wear this shirt again, so if it is $39.95, I'm really hesitant to ask for it.

Any suggestions? Links are appreciated!
I said I am NOT opposed to shopping at places like Target...which means I WILL shop there.

And I said no Forever 21.

Rue 21 I'll check out though.
 
try thrift stores! super cheap and probably a really big variety of plaid shirts, and they dont have to fit because you can wear a white ribbed tank top underneath and tie an oversize plaid shirt in the front.
 
Try Old Navy or Urban planet, i saw them the other day and they were awsome. There should be some at Garage, H&M, American Eagle, Rue 21, Dotti, and Winners. thts bout it! i hope this helps, good luck =)
