where can i cash my financial aid refund check?

i was just wondering, can i just cash it at any banks? but the problem is i dont have any bank accounts, How much does it charge me, approx.?
 
If you go to the bank that is on the check they usually cash it for free. If you just go to some random bank, they may not cash it. Your best best is to go to the bank on the check or walmart- $3 to cash a check or to the currency exchange. if you do go to walmart this is a maximum amount you can cash up to i believe it's $1,000- $1,500.
