Where can I buy spray paint without them kicking me out of the store?

I want to buy spray paint for this board that I have in my back yard. ( 6x6 ply wood board) and practice my graffiti on it. I dont actualy tag or anything, it just entertains me and its a good way to express myself but when I went to the local hardware store to buy some spray paint they kicked me out and wouldnt sell me the spray paint. I live in a small Californian town, with a medium variety of stores, (Homedepot, walmart, target) <-- I have all of those, any ideas where i can go to buy this stuff without getting a boot up my ass?
 
wow you get kicked out? thats some bull right there, just tell them your buying it for artwork, that your gonna spray paint your fence and not anywhere else otherwise you might as well buy it offline
 
Michaels Craft Store, although there is a limit on how much you can buy at once.
U say u live in Cali- perhaps Northern it souds like, cuz there are plenty of skater stores in SoCal where you can easily buy spraypaint. look it up online. u might cud just order it online.
