I've bought DIY repair manuals in paperback before and often they aren't helpful enough.

There are sites online that let you "subscribe" and look through more detailed information, but it looks like you can't download them? alldatadiy.com is $27 for one year access. eautorepair.net is $30 for one year.

I'd rather pay once and have access FOREVER, but I only need one particular year and model of car. Any sites that let you do this? Any that let you download the information?
Yes, I've used autozone's manuals, too. They are free, but not very detailed. I want one with detailed electrical diagrams, etc.

Chissom may but I can not remember if they were free or not. I used them to replace a harmonic balance. They were pretty graphic with their instructions and showed basically step by step.

Haynes make the best car repair manuals. Visit http://www.haynes.com to see if they have one for your car (highly likely that they will).
