I have looked and applied at all the internships possible. I have looked for volunteer positions. The only thing I found, and signed up for is volunteering to do low income taxes this coming tax season. I will be graduating with my B.S. in Accounting either Dec 2011, or Mar 2012 (depending on if I do summer quarter). Where else should I look for accounting experience? I go to school full time and I am a substitute school bus driver working about 10-12 hours a week. I really want to do something because my gpa is a 2.71 and I will never get hired with a gpa that low without any experience. Since I have taken so many classes, I doubt it will get to a 3.0 before I graduate. Anyways, please give me ideas specifically for accounting.
