Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

cut out the hand holding and paternalism and half of those majors will evaporate. It's a societal issue, not really an educational one.

Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

P.S. "Income" has to be defined in your new tax code. Income isn't simply income because sometimes one kind of income isn't income while another is.

I'd be surprised if he was capable of wiping his own ass.

Everyone I know that has talked to him personally has said he's a major retard.

Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

I love how liberals spam their drivel across dozens of vanilla *.orgs about how so and so is tea party and financed by rich people. When the tea party basically spread via the internet in the wake of ron paul, peter schiff, and countless government screwups.

Really???

Your in a climate where unemployment is very high and your going to add hundreRAB of thousand more people to that pool.

What do you think happens when people get fired they stop spending...

You know that all important consumer spending index your hear about?? That will fall through the floor..

Consumer spending is what keeps all companies running.

This will have a very real and fast impact on companies more so then increasig taxes by a few points.

Um, it does. I understand the history of taxation, I understand the why and hows of taxation, I read professional and trade journals, and I'm fairly certain I have a firm grasp on how and why our tax code has evolved over the years.

I just can pick apart these grossly oversimplified solutions to tax reform like shooting fish in a barrel. To really do so, you have to explain and understand the current code and how it has evolved into the albatross it is.

For a second I thought Kurt became a mod. About had a heart attack.

what if they didn't let them raise it above $3.80/gal or $1.20/liter? They've put caps on other things, fuel prices are pretty damn important to the economy so why not put a cap on it?

There's a difference. Maybe my word choice was wrong, I don't know, but by paternalism I mean treating students like children and 'helping' them through the process.

You know, the orientation meetings, help for choosing a major, have to meet with advisors and can't take too many credits, here's the syllabus little johnny, here are the homework problems, come to my office if you need help.

That doesn't even get into the "don't drink so much, no visitors of the opposite sex after 10pm, no living off campus til sophmore year" bs. Maybe college has changed in the past 5 years or so?

It doesn't encourage people to grow up and think for themselves. Everything has to be orderly and "safe". Sterile, even. 3rd worlders that are adults at 12 years old and hungry to make it will cut up your sweet little baby and send you the bill. Seen it happen. Done it myself. The society is weak and will be taken advantage of until it breaks down. Which is already happening.

Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

I don't really want corporations to pay taxes because some of my investments are tied into large blue chip stocks.

Also, I don't want any more costs passed on to me as a consumer because the government feels like they need to exploit any and every single avenue for tax revenue.

Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

no. they knew if they repriced cars to compensate for their losses in efficiency and overpaid UAW workers, the cars would be laughably overpriced and not move at all. some cashflow is better than none, and they likely needed to show some sales to secure whatever loans kept em afloat.
this isn't that rare. when dell or HP sells 1000 computers at low low wholesale price to a company, the margins aren't in the hardware but the support licenses. likewise, gaming consoles aren't profitable-peripherals and game title licensing is.

But I'm sure you considered all of this before spewing this simpleton solution.

If you don't like the benefits a company offers to its executives, then you should try to get on its board of directors and change that.

Where are these "American People" that WANT corporations to not pay taxes?!?

HOLY FUCK, you mean a perfect and all-encompassing solution wasn't spewed out in a single post on OT???? God damn it, I never thought a plan might need some thought before it's implemented.
