Where and what is that bike trail in Connecticut called?

OK, i went there when i was a kid, part of the trail was paved with black asphalt with small shards of glass embedded in it which looked really pretty, (and no it did not pop tires, everyone always looks at me funny when i describe this) i am pretty sure it was in Connecticut, could someone please tell me where it is, or the name of the trail, Thanks!
