where and how on my can i find my msn chat logs even though i don't have messenger plus?

when my friend sits on my laptop sometimes she would find out really personal things about me by reading me chat logs but i don't which folder she opens them from. plzzz help
my chat logs are still there even though "automatically keep a history of my chat logs" is unchecked
