when's the right time to honor our military heroes? braxton craven middle school?

ok ive got an assingment due in like november and i need a little help can u help me i need to write a essay 300 or more words for a contest and i need some ideas. this includes the navy marines army etc. plz help i got to braxton craven middle school in trinity nc

I think the best that I have been to was when I was stationed in AL. on recruiting duty. I was invited to attend a Veterans day at one of the schools. Each branch was invited and we all did attend in uniform. The kids adn teachers had been working on this a little while.
Each branch of service sat next to a student they in turn were dressed according to the skit they had planned. The two kids for me was one in a Doctors coat with all the stuff around the neck and what not, the other was a wounded person. Arm in a sling and a bandage on there head. They had some led in stuff and then each one recited a poem in sorts. In my case it was :In Flanders Field"and then they played the song to that branch. As in my case it was the Marines Hym. When our or any song is played it show's respect for the others when in uniform to stand at attention. I was standing anyway when others were played and did move to that position of attention were by I can not speak so much for the others at that time.
We also was able to go around to each of the class rooms and the student ask us questions and we could give them answers.
I t was very motivational to me and did help the cause some.
This was back just after the bombing of the barrack in Beirut.

Look, kid. Veterans value what we like to call Integrity. Part of integrity means you do your own work and take pride in your finished product...not getting others to do the work for you and then YOU end up taking the credit with financial gain to boot.

Ugh, I can't wait until this Patriot's Pen contest is over. Am tired of seeing this question posted every freakin day.
