whens the earliest possible day i can test?

so i expect my next period on dec. 29th and i know i should test then BUT i really want to take a test xmas eve morning so that i can let it be a xmas present for my hubby if i am ya know? so i guess i would be taking the test 5 days earlier than my missed period but i know alot of tests say 4 days...? when is the earliest you tested ? could i test then?
 
You coulld be let you give me my experience. I just know that I am pregno. I am supposed to have a period de.19th. Took a digital d 5days early test yesterday and it was negative. I have researched this and it says that only 58% of women get an accurate result BEFORE there missed period so even though it sucks I would wait.Best of luck to us both.
 
It can be up to 2 days before the first day of your next period (depending on the type of pregnancy test)
 
I took a test 4 days before I missed my period and it was positive, it had very faint lines but both tests had the lines there. Get one of the early detection tests, and take them the morning you want to, make sure it is your first pee of the day.
