When's the earliest I should take a pregnancy test?

I have a 3 and a half month old son and am currently b/feeding. I have therefore not had a period since I conceived last year. My husband and I had unprotected sex 3 weeks ago and I am beginning to feel early symptoms of pregnancy. The last couple of days I have woken up feeling sickly and I have also had stomach cramps. As I don't have a period to go by...when's the earliest I should take a pregnancy test if I get one which detects 5-6 days before missed period???
 
You could probably try now. My last period was April 18, and I think I conceived around May 2. I took my test on May 18th and got a BFP very quickly.

And the tests that detects 5 days before a missed period.. are not that accurate when taken too soon. It says on the back the %'s The longer you wait, the more accurate. But I see what you are saying, you have no period to go by. To be safe you may want to wait another week. But if you're anything like me, I am sooo impatient lol. Good luck!
