When your parents are in the military how often would they move to the same place?

Ok,i know someone whos parents are either in the air force or military i forgot.I just want to know when his parents and the whole family has to move or whatever like for example you live in Texas,then you go to minisotta,then cali,then south carolina,would they return to Texas,Or is it a very slim chance so as long as his parents are in the military are they most likely going to move to different states and cities? exp?
 
About every three years you move. Supposedly the Army is trying to make it so that your last duty assignment is your first duty assignment. So, if you use 3 years as a guide, you would expect about 6 moves before you return to Texas ... in your example.
