When you start exercising, how long does it take to see results?

I'm a 20 year old female college student who recently started a consistent exercise routine for the first time in 3+ years (gotta burn off those beers). Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, I swim laps for 30 min and then do some toning exercises for 15 min.

I was just wondering when I should expect to be seeing some results. I know real results take time but I'm looking for things like: having more energy in general, running out of breath less quickly, feeling a bit slimmer, etc.

I already eat decently well and I've always been slim (5'7" 120lbs), I just want to feel healthier and look less flabby.

Any experienced fitness people have some insight? Thanks!
