what do you define it as?
What pops into your mind?

I often hear and see that infamous "Hip-Hop is a culture" line, and I'll admit I've used it a couple times as well.
But I got to wondering, what defines Hip-Hop as a culture, and what unites people, besides the music, to be part of such culture?

I can't really say its the way we act, dress,or speak...
as we all have different styles, we don't all act the same, and trends change over the years.
So besides our liking of the music in hip-hop, what else unites hip-hop fans to be part of this so called culture?
Or do you think its just a blanket statement with no real meaning used to exemplify the width of the hip-hop genre?
discuss and add on if you'd like.

Q2 : Buy Or Sell = Mainstream music today depends more on catchy lyrics than catchy beats.
ok so I see you guys brought up the "elements".
What role do they play in the discussion?
Are you guys saying that if you don't practice all the elements you're not part of the Hip-Hop culture?
