The first step for me is to make love of other people the focus of my life. When I do that, the blessings get spoken, the kindness flows naturally, and I'm de facto seeking the real treasure instead of all the fake baubles society distracts you with.

I'm not sure what "champion the good" means to you, but if you mean making love the cornerstone of your life, then ... yes.
