When you ask question do you already know the answer or you just testing others people

abilities? Ok for instance how would you know if the answer is best? one may give a really good explanation but the others might have known it from learning. What i mean is it does need knowledge to understand the answer and know what is right from wrong is also part of knowledge, but then why would we ask the question if we are already know!
 
They pick the answer that is closest to what they had already come up with as their own answer.
 
Have you considered this:
-Based on a majority consensus over an answer, the person asking can fairly tell if the answer is correct and can verify if it adheres to reason, and then will decide which among those is the most clear in explanation.
*The majority is not necessarily correct.

-Also, people sometimes like to test other people's skills. Riddles are always fun.
