When will Yahoo fix the problem of doubled contact information (2 of everything?)?

As others are now starting to report, I too just discovered the exact same problem as described above. Everything in contacts is repeated 2X. Email address; Address 1, Address 2, phone 1, phone 2, etc. And deleting the repeated items only causes not only for the 2nd item to return as repeated, but now a 3rd item.

Clearly, others are having this problem and it needs to be addressed and fixed... but WITHOUT everyone losing their information.

Yahoo, please confirm that this issue has been now recognized and escalated to development.
