With the end of the format war, how soon do you think we will see the big films released on Blu-Ray? I think it's going to be needed to get BD pushed up into the mainstream. I'm hoping for good Delux editions of SW, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park & Matrix trilogies. What other releases would tempt you to take the plunge (if you haven't already)?

GL stated that they would start putting together the SW films on high def only when there is a clear winner. Which would be.. well... nowish. I'd expect it to take them about a year to get them together with extras etc.

Let's not forget, if DVD history is anything to go by, studios will no doubt first release movies with some extras, then several months/years later to go on to release the special editions versions of the same movie.
To be fair , not all of them did that.
However there are plenty of HD DVD and BD releases out there that dont even have the extras that were included on the dvd.
But of the less than 20 Bluray titles I have only T2 is left wanting,although the freebie of Spiderman trilogy only has extras on Spiderman 3.
But the R1 release of T2 was so chocka with extras it was going to be hard to fit them on a single disc.
I was a laserdisc fan and extras were a real novelty and usually only those worthwhile extras were included.
However to satisfy Joe Public the extras on dvd's have become a tad boring.
While plenty of releases do have something of interest most of the Hollywood blockbusters are a bit crap what with 20 minute puff promos of the cast saying how lovely each other was to work with and endless insight into the effects work- but how many times do we want to see green screen stuff?
I never thought I would do it but over the last year or so I've been going for the single disc extraless versions rather than the double disc sets on many films
