When will the Asians, especially the males, be properly represented in media?

I see people have been living in their little boxes for too long now. Thanks to the American media, American girls have developed lots of negative perceptions of Asian guys. The American media tries really hard to tell people that Asian males are small, weak, timid, and nerdy. Well, the truth is that Asian males can be just as handsome, strong, aggressive, and out going as men from any of race. However since they are the smallest minority group in this so called "melting pot", they are completely ignored.

All my fellow Asian brothers. Keep your heads up. You know who you are. Just be yourself and don't worry about the media.

Jenny2pa, I'm not saying ALL Americans do this. I am just saying that the AMERICAN MEDIA does this.

Also, as for the size of the you know what. Seriously, is it that important? The average sizes of all races of men don't vary that much. I don't understand why some girls are so hung up on size.
 
Haha. Seriously, Asian culture in general isn't well depicted in America in general, not only the media. Asians are starting to show though, like in GI JOE where the korean actor doesn't have some cheesy role. Ironically I rarely see actually asian guy fobs around my area.
 
it's sad how long it takes for stereotypes to be dispelled, isn't it.

consider that the irish were considered to be drunken poor lazy babymakers for about 200 years before that was forgotten. asians have only been in the us for, what? 60 years? I don't know for sure but it'll happen eventually
 
When Asian men start producing shows, they can put whomever they want and write what they want.

And many Asians have produced some major motion pictures, the Rush Hour series, and Ang Lee did that turkey about two men getting it on. It did pretty good at the box office. And Ken Li was one of the writers for Fast and Furious.

Mike Okuda is head artist for the Star Trek films.
 
I agree with you, but it's unnecessary for you to degrade all Americans. There are a lot of open-minded Americans, so you should also consider that. Anyway, yes it's sad that the media ALWAYS degrades Asian people. This is just an example how racist people can be.

You know what's ironic? I always hear Non-Asians criticizing Asian guys for having small penis. Seriously, how the hell do they know? Unless they've sucked many Asian penis. I've come to the conclusion that people who make this remark is either a whore or a gay pimp. They obviously have no prove, so that leaves me to that speculation.

If Non-Asians actually tavel to Asia, I'm sure they'll change their biased perspective about us.

I hate how they say all Koreans eat dogs or how all Asians are Chinese. I mean it's like no one even notices the Laos, Vietnamese, Malaysians, Filipino, Thai and I could go on. (But there is too many to list @_@)

But most Americans are ignorant and arrogant, anyway.

I, personally, don't think the size matters. I mean seriously. Who is that shallow?
