When will pregnancy test show negative after a D & C?

Hi I had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks but baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. I followed up with a d & c on June 9th. Only bled for a couple days. Then started bleeding again on 19th June but a really dark browny blacky colour blood. Til today I still have slight bleeding. Did a preg test on the 19th cos I thought it might be my period but showed a positive. Did another preg test yesterday 24th june and had a very very very slight line. Does this mean my hcg level is nearlly down to zero? Also does the hormone level start going down from when the baby died or when I had the d & c?

Your levels will go according to the d and c. I apologize for your loss. Your pregnancy tests will show positive until your HCG level goes back to 0. Give yourself a few weeks to heal and try again if you wish ;)
