...cylinder option? a 174HP ecotec would still move the car along reasonably well, and could probably lop $2,000 off the sticker price. Anyone heard any rumors about this possibility?
 
Have not heard anything yet, but that engine will never be in the camaro. That engine powers the base solstice which is about 1000 pounds lighter than the camaro. That would make the it a very underpowered sports car. For its close to 4000lb weight the camaro needs the hp to move. I dont think they will drop the price anymore, since it is selling very well starting at 23k for base LS model.
 
If you're worried about sticker price and fuel cost, you don't need a Camaro, you need an Aveo. A 4 cylinder would burn more fuel trying to push that big car down the street. The V8 is the best way to go.
